LOL my famous cereal box I created with the illusive, mystical Bear Cat HAHA. Yea I pictured a bear and a cat, and this little guy was born. This project was fun, it was my first cereal box, I plan to re-do it at some point just to add a real bowl of cereal to it.
I took and made this photo seem it had been taken during a sunny day versus a gloomy day. I brightened it up and added some shadows, added some grass, some life life to the grass by adding some shadows and lighting. I also did some work on the house to make it come to life more also.

I took an image I had and added some lighting and shading to it to make it seem like the picture was taken in the evening as the sun went down.

This one I did messing around very very early on like maybe 3 or so years back when I first started getting into design. I took two different pics of my dogs. One was standing in front of the garage, and I took and merged him into the photo with the other dog. I removed some leaves and applied a blur.

This one I did real quick at work one day of a friend goofing of at work. She had kidnapped my phone and started taking pics with it, so I turned it into this. I used the masking tool to cut out the background of the work place. I applied a stroke to the subject in the image, then made some splatters, and changed the opacity of some layers.

This image was a lot of fun that I did for a midterm. I had to use 20+ different images that i cropped, changed the color of, applied some color balances to, and other stuff to create this image. This tool forced me to use the cropping tools (polygonal lasso tool, marquee tools, and the masking tool) in new ways I hadn’t before. Now, when it comes to cropping an image or cutting out an image, I can do it quickly and beautifully.

So this image i drew for my final exam in one of my graphic design classes. I drew over 170 individual pieces in Illustrator to create this image. I made some custom stamps to create the patterns and lace on the dress. This image is actually featured in the CS3 WOW Book. The task of the final exam was to recreate the image from scratch using all the tools we learned in Illustrator. So I had to look at the picture and try to figure out a way to recreate it in its entirety. There is a lot of translucent and opacity settings going on with a lot of layers also.

Recreating images is good practice to keep your skills sharp, because it forces you to think and use all the tools and skills you have learned, and you end up using tools in new ways that you may not have thought to use them in.
